Buffs and nerfs make MOBAs fresh and interesting, as it encourages – or sometimes forces – players to either get better at their favorite hero, or champion in the case of LoL, or learn new ones. And quite recently, Riot just made a few buffs and nerfs to certain champions on League of Legends accounts. Check out who got sent to greener pastures, and who were given the short end of the stick.
So that we won’t end with a bad note, let’s start with it instead. This time, it’s LeBlanc and Aatrox that got nerfed.
The former, a mainstay metagame threat, lost a significant chunk of her prowess, as her W, Distortion Orb, got its damaged reduced. The damage of her Q, Shatter Orb, against minions got boosted, but it’s hardly enough to compensate for the damage taken away from Distortion. Because of this loss, her winrate was reduced to 43.26% from a rather impressive 52.37%.
Aatrox, who got an “almost a rework” major change last patch, also got a bit of a nerf, but it didn’t cause his win rates to drop by much.
League of Legends Accounts: Onto The Buffs
Lucian and Fizz, on the other hand, got quite the buffs.
The former just lost the fan nickname “Lose-ian”, as the cooldown of Piercing Light and Ardent Blaze have been shortened; that means pulling off more combos in a shorter span of time. While this doesn’t really add much on Lucian’s win rate, an increase, no matter how small, is always a good thing.
Last but definitely not the least would be Fizz, one of the most improved champions as of late. Many of his skills’ damage has been upped, although certain aspects of some of these skills, like cooldown and duration, have been dampened. It didn’t however, get reduced by much, and in the end Fizz gained more than what he lost.
Of course, these four aren’t the only champions who were either buffed or nerfed. In fact, there are lots of them that got a bit of a recent change-up, and it’s important for you to know this so that you can know which champions to use on your League of Legends accounts.
